Nominations
Faculty members at Jewish day schools in the United States and Canada are invited to nominate students for the Tikvah Institute on God, Ethics, and American Democracy at Yale University. Students are also welcome to apply without a faculty nomination.
The Institute seeks students who have demonstrated (a) their interest and ability to excel in the study of challenging philosophical and political materials and (b) their awareness of the connections between these materials and the political, cultural, and moral questions that feature most prominently in contemporary public discourse.
If you are a faculty member and know students who you believe would thrive in the intellectually demanding environment of the Institute, we invite you to nominate these students. Please send us their names and e-mail addresses. Institute staff will then e-mail these students, inform them of your nomination, and provide them with information on how to apply. The nominating faculty member may additionally supply a brief written description of the nominee’s abilities and suitability for the program.
Please send your nominations via e-mail to jsiev@tikvahfund.org. Please be aware that the application process will be competitive.
